The Lethbridge Rugby Club runs many programs that serve the community and build a rugby culture in Southern Alberta. We have rugby programs running from Minis (Ages 8-13) through boys and girls Juniors (Ages 14-19) all the way up to senior rugby with both Men’s (Division II, Division III) and Women’s (Division I) programs. Our goal is to provide a positive athletic and rugby experience to all participants while maintaining an inclusive environment – the Lethbridge Rugby Club is a family, and we want you to be part of it.
If you’re interested in playing, you can find more information here.

Congratulations to all of our winners. It was a fantastic season all around and we’re all excited for the 2020 campaign!
The 2019 Season was a great one for the Lethbridge Rugby Club, with teams competing in the Women’s Division I, Men’s Division II, and Men’s Division III of the Calgary Rugby Union.
Our women had a remarkable year, taking only a single loss in the regular season and coming out on top of both the regular season standings *and* the playoffs, taking home the Calgary Rugby Union Women’s Division I Championship and adding to the club’s hardware.
Men’s Division II had a shaky start, but recovered, finishing with an even record at 5-5 and securing third place in the regular season standings. This set the men up for a semi-final playoff match vs The Canucks. It was a tough match, with LRC having a number of injured players, and we took a disheartening loss 59-19 at Calgary Rugby Park. Congratulations to both the Canucks for handing us a loss and the other teams in Men’s Division II.
Men’s Division III found itself in a rebuilding year in 2019, with a handful of players completely new to senior rugby making up the core of our players. Although a 1-8 record for the season was not a desired outcome, our new players stood strong and picked up skills and a love for the game along the way. Well done lads!
2019 Season Wrap Up
We’re very happy with this schedule, as for the first time in years our teams are all together regularly- 6 weeks total, with our Men’s teams almost always playing together (every week except one), which is great both for ensuring we keep full team sheets and for giving development opportunities to our younger players.
Bring it on!
Registration for the 2018 season is officially open – click HERE.

Free pancake breakfast for attendees.
It’s been a good long while since the LRC had a deep clean and decluttering – you’ll already be at the club for Six Nations Rugby and St Patrick’s Day, so why not help out and start off the new year on the right foot?
Free Dinner (Bangers and Mash) provided for those that volunteer for cleanup.
Note: If you are a member in poor standing with the club due to owed Bingo shifts, helping with cleanup will count as a shift towards what you owe.
Lots of upcoming dates and events for the Rugby club
